Scholarships
BPW of Alabama is please to provide a scholarship program to individuals pursuing higher education.
There are currently four types of scholarship applications :
- Freshman entering college
- Continuing student
- Career enhancement scholarship to be used for any type of career advancement education and can subsidize career seminars, vocational training, etc. as well as traditional degree programs.
- Pratt-Marshall scholarship. Please see each individual application for details
1. All Scholarship application (except Career Enhancement)must be postmarked on or before February 1, 2023. Applications should be sent to :

2. Career Enhancement applications are reviewed twice a year. Deadlines are September 15th (for November notification) and April 15th (for June notification).
3. A student is only eligible for four years to receive scholarship assistance for an undergraduate program.
4. A student to be eligible must successfully complete twelve hours of coursework each term or be in a program where they are considered a full time student in good standing-internship, etc.
5. All applicants must be enrolled in a degree seeking accredited program in a University or College located within the State of Alabama.
Scholarship Recipient must attend BPW/Alabama 2023 State Convention Award Luncheon to receive funds. (If there are any issue pertaining to attendance, the Scholarship Chair must be notified no later than the Thursday before State Convention - No Exceptions.
